Optimizing Stock Control: A Guide to Stock Adjustment on VirtualRX
VirtualRX’s comprehensive suite of features includes a powerful Stock Adjustment module, designed to streamline the process of managing your inventory. Whether you’re writing off damaged stock or adjusting quantities after a stock take, the Stock Adjustment feature is your go-to tool. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to effectively use Stock Adjustment:
Stock Adjustment:
Creating a Stock Adjustment:
- Start by navigating to Add Stock Adjustment in your VirtualRX dashboard.
- Select the business location and date for the adjustment.
- Choose the Adjustment Type, classifying it as Normal or Abnormal. Normal adjustments are for routine reasons like leakages, while Abnormal adjustments are for exceptional circumstances like accidents or fires.
- Add the products and specify the quantity you want to decrease.
- If applicable, enter the total amount recovered from damaged stock. This could include insurance claims or proceeds from selling scraps.
- The entered quantities for each product will be deducted from the available stock.
Monitoring Stock Adjustments:
- Access the details of your stock adjustments in the “Stock Adjustment Report” for a comprehensive overview.
Impact on Financial Reports:
- Stock Adjustment plays a crucial role in the Profit & Loss Report (P & L Report).
- The “Total Stock Adjustment” amount is deducted from the P & L Report, reflecting the financial impact of adjustments.
- Conversely, the “Total Stock Recovered” amount is added to the Profit & Loss Report, providing a transparent view of recovered value.
